An easy way to book in holiday leave for a User in the scheduler is to create a 'job' for the leave, so that you can use it whenever you need to. If the leave is going to be more than one day, then you can make the 'job' recurring, up to the number of days that the User will be on leave.

Create the Leave 'job' type:

In the Web Portal, go to Jobs > Job Type Templates > + New Job Type.

Title the new job type 'Leave' or another title of your choosing that indicates what the job type is used for. You don't need to add any forms or status updates or reminders. For the duration, you can select the length of time for your business' operating hours, this will cover the leave for a day. You can also select a specific colour for the job.

Once you're happy with the details, select Save at the bottom of the screen. You now have the Leave placeholder job type for your scheduler.

Enter the Leave into the Scheduler:

There are a few ways to enter the Leave into the scheduler. You can select and drag over the day/timeframe; select New Job in the top right of the page, or open up the side menu on the right, and use the quick New Job creator and drag and drop the job onto the Scheduler for the correct User. You do not need to enter a Contact for the job.

Check the details in the job creation page, make sure you select your Leave job type and the correct User and date/time. Select Dispatch once done.

Make the Leave repeatable:

If the leave is more than one day, then you can make it repeatable when you're in the job editing page. Select the Repeatable tab in the job creation / editing page. In that tab section, you can select the intervals (daily), the days to skip (eg: weekends if the business is closed), and how much leave is being taken (number of days, or the ends date for the leave). Then select Dispatch

The User will now have their Leave listed in the Scheduler, so that people won't enter jobs for them during that time.
